Happy New Year!

Tony and I returned from Dubuque yesterday, after celebrating New Year’s Eve with my college friends. As I mentioned in a previous post, we stayed in a renovated convent for the night. What a neat experience! As someone mentioned, if you had issues with religion, it might not be the place for you, because there were crosses, statues, and pictures of Jesus throughout the convent, but Tony and I didn’t mind. I’ll have some pictures to share pretty soon. All in all, it was a nice few days. We bought shirts at Happy Joe’s Pizza in Galena, bought ourselves some popcorn at the Great American Popcorn Company in downtown Galena and spent time with friends. Good times had by all!
